What is UAE Innovation Month?
Following the success of UAE Innovation Week 2015 and 2016, UAE Innovation Month was announced to celebrate “innovation” across the nation. The Month-long festival aims to:
- Contribute to strengthening the country’s position as a global hub for innovation
- Enhance the development of innovative ideas and capabilities, and creates a widespread culture of innovation
- Celebrate innovation in the UAE and supports the national innovation strategy
UAE Innovation Month is one of the largest innovation festivals in the world and a consolidated effort by government, the private sector and individuals to help create a widespread culture of innovation in the UAE.
When is UAE Innovation Month?
UAE Innovation Month will take place during the month of February of every year starting from February 2018. The activities in every Emirate will go as per the following schedule:
- Abu Dhabi – 1-7 February
- Ras Al Khaimeh & Fujairah – 8-14 February
- Sharjah, Ajman, Um Al Quwain – 15–21 February
- Dubai – 22–28 February

How long should activities be?
As participating entities own their activities, they should decide on the length of their respective events, as long as they fall within UAE Innovation Month and in line with the schedule of activities in every Emirate.
Where can participating entities organize their activities? Are there spaces to rent?
There are no specific places for UAE Innovation Month as participating entities are responsible to choose their own locations to showcase their “innovations”. Activities can take place at the entities’ headquarters, customer service centers, in a public space of their choosing, or even online.
