Innovation Week for MoEI

The Emirates Innovates events aim to contribute to strengthening the country's position as a global center for innovation, promoting the development of innovative ideas and capabilities, creating a broad culture of innovation, celebrating innovation and innovators across the UAE, and supporting the National Strategy for Advanced Innovation. Accordingly, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has developed an agenda for the Innovation Week from 02/21/2023 to 02/27/2023. Where the following main themes will be presented throughout the day and the accompanying events.

• Day 1: 21/02/2023: Buildings and sustainability in infrastructure

Activities:

- A presentation of Smart Housing

- Interview with Innovator 1

- Launching the Housing Innovation Lab, managed by the Youth Council

- Workshop Topic 1: Sustainability guidelines and tools

• Day 2: 22/02/2023: Roads and transportation

- Workshop Topic 1: Smart mobility

- Interview with Innovator 2

- Launching the Transport Innovation Lab, managed by the Youth Council

• Day 3: 23/02/2023: Energy and Water

- Workshop Topic 1: Hydrogeological map

- Workshop Topic 2: with the Youth council and The Arab Youth Council for Climate Change (AYCCC)

- Panel Discussion 1: Launching the study of energy storage

- Panel Discussion 2: Launching the future energy platform

- Workshop Topic 3: Workshops on solar energy systems

• Day 4: 24/02/2023: A ceremony honoring the best innovative ideas for the year 2022

• Day 5: 27/02/2023: Ceremony of announcing the winners of the Research and Innovation Award

Across all Days following activities will be held:

- Activities for young: Bejli, eco runner, Manzely (RAK Mun), Virtual reality for mobility- below 16yrs, a competition between two teams to install a solar system according to specific data

Using innovative, hand held portable device for point of need detection of poultry diseases. Our device facilitates simple, specific, and rapid molecular ILTV detection in low-resource veterinary diagnostic laboratories and can be used for field molecular diagnosis of suspected cases

ِِAerodynamic Drag Analysis

The current research utilizes the principles of drag estimation, extending wakes and vortex circulation for heavy weight trucks. The need for reducing carbon foot print and operation cost derives a motivation for drag reduction studies since 50% of fuel is burned to overcome these resistance forces. The study was performed at the aeronautical engineering program of the Higher colleges of technology. The solid modeling of the proposed design was simulated via a turbulent flow software for incompressible flow
